ALL GAS PIPELINE WORKS
AMMONIA
Anhydrous ammonia gas offers a considerable advantage over hydrogen in that it has a large volumetric energy density. The total amount of energy that would be expended for its production and transportation to consumers is estimated to be less than that for liquid hydrogen transportation, even if the lower heating value loss is considered. From a storage viewpoint, these advantages would be particularly beneficial to those vehicles carrying large amounts of freight.
Although ammonia has a low flame velocity for use in internal combustion engines, an auto-thermal-cracker helps the engine to run stably. No knocking has been observed even when the engine was operated under charged conditions.
NITROGEN
Nitrogen purging and hydrocarbon displacement services help to reduce costs, protect people and nature during process units or pipeline commissioning, remedial repair, decommissioning and abandonment.Commissioning of gas pipelines involves complete displacement of air in the pipeline by natural gas before pressure is enhanced to the required level for trial operations of 72 h. Generally speaking, inert gas(usually nitrogen) shall be used to displace the air before displacement of nitrogen by natural gas.
When injected, natural gas in the pipeline will drive the nitrogen section to accomplish the displacement in the entire pipeline. Since gas supplied from the upstream has high pressure, pressure regulating valves in the initial station should be used during commissioning to reduce the natural gas pressure. To avoid ice blockage in the pipeline after choking and depressurization, pressure reduction could be more than one stage
AIR & OIL PIPELINE
Pipeline transport is the long-distance transportation of a liquid or gas through a system of pipes a pipeline typically to a market area for consumption. Oil pipelines are made from steel or plastic tubes which are usually buried. The oil is moved through the pipelines by pump stations along the pipeline.
ENDO GAS
A gas, rich in carbon monoxide and hydrogen, produced by burning natural gas in a limited supply of air, that is used in the heat treatment of metals. Endothermic gas is a mixture of several gases like Hydrogen, Nitrogen, CO, CO2, Water Vapour. It is used in many heat treatment furnaces for a strong Oxygen reducing atmosphere. LPG is quickly gaining popularity as a Carbon enhancer in the controlled furnace atmosphere. Some of the most common heat treatment applications where LPG is increasingly used are Gas Carburizing, Carbonitriding, Hardening/Annealing, High Temperature Brazing and Carbon Restoration of Steel.
