JWALA Gas Technology commitment to safety is a top priority in our day-to-day operations. Job site compliance and promoting an incident- and injury-free work environment helps us to maintain our strong safety record. Through the efforts of our dedicated and experienced Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) team, JGT is actively setting a new standard for safety in pipeline construction.

Our company wide safety initiatives include comprehensive HS&E management documentation and standards; a drug and alcohol testing program; onsite safety coordination that monitors and reviews job site requirements and individual performance. This commitment to safety has resulted in fewer total recordable incidents.

Our HS&E department is actively involved in ensuring all state and local client requirements are followed on each and every jobsite. Our HS&E department consists with skilled field coordinators on hand at each jobsite.

JGT is committed to the health and safety of all our employees, and the communities where we work. All project teams conduct daily safety meetings and discuss weekly safety training topics. We actively promote safe behaviour – both on and off the jobsite – through our HS&E programs and processes including a written policies and procedures manual, an employee orientation process, pre-employment drug testing, safety training programs, an alcohol misuse prevention plan and an anti-drug program.

JGT performs pre-employment drug testing and random drug and alcohol testing to ensure a safety and drug- and alcohol-free work environment. We adhere to a zero-tolerance policy for the use of prohibited substances through:

• Pre-employment testing

• Periodic random testing

• Testing for reasonable cause

• Post-accident testing

Health & Safety of our employees and protection of the surrounding environment are of our utmost concerns. We firmly believe that a clean work place free from hazards enhances productivity of our employees and the quality of our products.

Drug and alcohol use can affect a person’s ability to work safely. It creates a risk to workers and work health and safety. The Company is committed to identify all workplace factors that may influence someone to turn to drugs or alcohol, and use stringent process to eliminate drug or alcohol use or control the risks from them.

The HSE Policy applies to all employees of company regardless of positions within the company. Every employee’s expected to comply with the safety policy, as well as “OHSAS” Health and safety standards.

• To provide safe and healthy working condition, to ensure that the employees are not working under any influence of drugs, alcohol etc. and to ensure good housekeeping.
• To provide safe plant layouts, machinery, equipment, processes, methods, tools and facility.
• To educate and train all concerned in safety and to impart relevant information continuously.
• To conduct regular periodic audits on safety and housekeeping.
• To evaluate the effectiveness of the safety procedures and practices.
• To give greater emphasis on hazardous areas where chemicals and dangerous materials are used.

• To ensure that all employees, suppliers, transporters and other agencies engaged in assigned activities, comply with safety procedures laid down by the company and other statutory obligations. They shall be responsible for the safety of the employees engaged by them.

• To ensure, JWALA GAS TECHNOLOGY will not work without proper PPE.
